Earthy, elegant and full of character. This savoury Georgian red comes from vines more than 20 years old, rooted in the village of Nukriani in the Sighnaghi area of Kakheti, the historic heartland of Georgian winemaking. Just 2,250 bottles were produced from the 2020 harvest.

Tasting Notes

• Colour: Deep, dark garnet
• Nose: Vibrant and aromatic, led by intense black fruit
• Palate: Ripe red and black berries meet earthy undertones and a light touch of oak. Juicy, well-balanced acidity and firm tannins give way to a soft, fleshy texture with hints of mocha and a rich Christmas-cake complexity
• Finish: Generous body and structure that promise a long life in the bottle

Food Pairing

A natural partner for lamb, beef and other red meat dishes, and particularly good with spicy food. Equally at home with roast chicken, salads, or a board of fresh and aged cheeses, and elegant enough to serve as an aperitif.
