Budeshuri Winery was founded in year 2000. The Vineyard is located in Georgia, Kakheti, Signaghi, Nukriani village. The vineyard is family run and only produces limited batches of high quality Georgian wine, with focus on traditions and culture of Georgian wine making. The winery utilises modern, high quality equipment, mixed with Georgian heritage of wine making to produce some of the finest wines in Georgia.
The winery is named after the grape type Budeshuri. The grape variety was discovered more than 600 years ago in Georgia. The origin of the name comes from grape seeds shape; it repeats the contours of an almond-eye shape, specifically women's eyes. Georgian men, showing admiration and respect towards their women, named the grape variety after it.
